The Rutland Hotel & Apartments is often praised for its stunning location, with some rooms offering amazing views of Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street. Guests frequently highlight the beautifully decorated and spacious rooms, many featuring well-equipped kitchens. While some guests have noted the small size of the lift, the hotel's proximity to the airport bus stop and the discount offered at the on-site Kyloe and Huxley restaurants are definite perks.

I found some issues . The coffee cups in the room resembled thimbles. I nearly packed a mug. The bed reminded me of sleeping on a plank. The pillows seemed filled with air. Breakfast certainly did not justify its cost. I should have grabbed a pastry elsewhere..

Mixed Experience. Issues with Cleanliness and Service

convenient locationartificial scentvisible stains
The location proved convenient to nearby attractions.
The corridor had a strong, artificial scent from air fresheners. This reminded me of an attempt to mask deeper issues, I suspect. Stains were visible on the curtain casings. and furniture. The toilet flush only worked after multiple attempts. My bank alerted me to a declined charge after checkout that the hotel denied initiating. This left me frustrated.

Our room was beautiful and large. The bathroom was gorgeous, it was so romantic. The staff at breakfast were great. They helped each other, offering breaks and coffee. I saw the management respected their staff.
I found the coffee cups in the room very small. I wished I'd brought a mug for my morning coffee. It would have been lovely. The bed was hard. The pillows were too soft. I know these are personal preferences though.
